Nokia goes big as it adds tablet and phablets to its Lumia series

On Tuesday, at the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi, Nokia unveiled its first ever tablet and phablet.

The Lumia 2520 tablet has a 10.1-inch screen and runs Windows RT. It’s loaded with 4G LTE in addition to wi-fi unlike most tablets. Its battery charges to 50% in 30 mins. It costs $499 and comes in red, blue, white and black.

The high-end  6-inch Nokia Lumia 1520 includes a 20MP PureView camera with advanced editing and zoom tools. It boasts four microphones that record high-quality sound in video mode and has a 1080p screen. It is available in yellow, black red and white. Under the hood it’s powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core CPU running at 2.2 GHz and has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage. Costing $749 it’s expected to ship to US, Europe, China, Hong Kong and Singapore by Christmas.

For the mid-range market Nokia announced the 6-inch Lumia 1320 with a lower resolution of 720p. It’s powered by a 1,7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. Priced at $339, it will be first available in China and Vietnam.
